MISSION
To enhance the quality of life for the aging population in Story County, which allows them the opportunity to age with dignity, independence, and a sense of community by providing them with access to comprehensive support resources, education, and enrichment opportunities.
Our
Story
Seniors in Story is a non-profit group of companies, organizations, and individuals who serve, and have a vested interest in the well-being of our aging population. We range from all forms of senior living communities (retirement, independent, assisted living, and beyond), home care companies, clinics, hospitals, funeral homes, daycare centers, insurance, and financial institutions. Any company, organization, or individual is welcome to attend our monthly meetings to learn more about the other services that are provided to the communities throughout Story County.
What We Provide
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
We meet on the third Wednesday at 9:00 AM in: February, March, April, June, August, September, October, November.
May is our annual Senior Expo, January is our Annual Kickoff Celebration, and in July we have a new networking event coming!
December is an OFF month due to crazy holiday schedules!
The Senior Expo enables you to learn about the numerous agencies, businesses, and organizations catering to your specific needs and interests. It is a FREE exhibition of all of our "members" and more. The booths present will range from the types of things listed above to activities for aging adults, as well as their caregivers and families.
Story County is a great place to get an education, raise a family, live, and work. More and more, older adults are discovering that it is also a great place to spend retirement! With age comes lifestyle changes.
